snack-powered success stories
We use them during exams, nail trims, and injections, and the difference is immediate. They’re soft, easy to portion, and dogs stay engaged without getting overstimulated. It’s rare to find a treat that functions this well as an actual clinical tool.
I started using Courage Treats as both a distraction tool and a reward at the end of each groom. I love that I can handle them one-handed while clipping, and they’re not greasy at all. They’re soft enough for my senior clients, and dogs now recognize the tray on my table and get genuinely excited for them!
As a trainer, I’m picky about rewards, and Courage Treats check every box. They’re soft, breakable, and keep dogs focused without crumbling or making a mess. I use them during cooperative care training and confidence-building sessions, and they help reinforce calm behavior instead of frantic energy.
These are hands-down my favorite treats to work with at the grooming table. I can hold a Courage Treat with one hand while clipping with the other, and they don’t leave any greasy residue on my tools. Even my most nervous clients settle faster, and I love that dogs recognize them now — it turns a stressful groom into a positive experience.

FAQs
Yes, after opening the package. Vetstix are baked fresh with limited preservatives and not meant to last beyond a zombie apocalypse like a Twinkie.
Our fresh packs contain 14 treats
YES!! I actually designed the vetstix for my beloved 17 year old Shichon named Bernie. They are soft, breakable and easily digestible. He would eat the whole stix at once if I let him.
Great question - yes since 2006. Ask me anything - just kidding not right now…I have to get back to baking.
Depends who you ask - your dog would like to eat the whole pack now! But once opened and kept refrigerated - they can last up to 2 months in the fridge. You can also freeze them to last longer. Shelf life - unopened can up to 8 months.
We wanted to create a yummy allergy free option for all dogs that is safe to eat. Chickpeas are high in protein and super yummy! Fun fact: One of the biggest allergens for dogs is chicken which is hidden in alot of treats and food (animal by product).
Our ingredients are sourced from America and baked locally in Baltimore, Maryland. Even the packaging is made in the USA.
